Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals

    The article i chose talks about the shutdown of DACA, which stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. DACA was established by ex-president Obama in june 2012, this policy granted illegal immigrants a legal status that allowed them to obtain a work permit, driver's licenses and health coverage. According to Dickerson, a lot of people are afraid now that their legal status is no longer protected, after president Trump ended the DACA policy. Some are more afraid because they will soon be facing deportation, Many families will be separated and many will be sent back to a country they don't even know, due to the fact that they were brought here at a such a young age.
