North Korea Fires Missile Over Japan
In order to challenge the United States and to boldly spite
President, Donald Trump for his threatening comments in Arizona where he stated
that he would “rain down fire and fury on
North Korea if it endangered the United States” North Korea fired a
ballistic Missile over Japan on Tuesday August 28, 2017. They had initially
threatened to attack Guam (territory of Japan and U.S military bases) but
instead North Korea shot it “over” Japan to divert it from heading to Guam but to
prove to the U.S. and Japan that even
though they are not going to attack Guam, they can if they wanted to and by
doing this, they sought to provoke them. The prime minister of Japan, Shinzo
Abe stated that North Koreas actions are a “grave and serious threat” and
discussed it over the phone with President Trump who agreed that they need to
make tougher sanctions on North Korea (Sang-Hun, Sanger). The goal is for
nations to maintain denuclearized in order to avoid civilian casualties, be
secure and achieve mutual economic growth. North Korea needs to play nice.
