Trump had ‘no second thoughts’ about ending DACA

What is DACA?  DACA was created by former President Barack Obama through a 2012 executive order. “The program has allowed hundreds of thousands of young people who were brought to the United States illegally as children to remain in the country” (NBC News).  The ones who have applied cannot have a criminal past, and have to have arrived in the U.S. before 2007, under the age of 16. Under the DACA legislation people can live and work legally in the U.S. for “renewable two-year periods.” (NBC News)

The article written by Bob Fredericks, discusses President Donald Trumps meeting with congress in the oval house and his decision to end DACA after 16years years of failed attempts. President Trump gave congress a six month deadline but like past attempts there was still no luck.
As we all know Trump has a large following on Twitter so it came to no surprise that he took to Twitter to vent about it stating that if Congress didn’t “legalize DACA,” he would then “revisit this issue!"

Many people have had a say and an opinion in what will and in their opinion should be the end result of the DACA order. One being an administration spokeswoman that goes by the name Sarah Huckabee Sanders, she has stated on several occasions that if the GOP also known as the (Republican party) controlled Congress doesn't go through with Trumps order that they should "get out", “That’s their job, and if they can’t do it, then they need to get out of the way and let somebody else who can take on a heavy lift and get things accomplished,” she said. But it doesn't seem like GOP leaders are in any rush to pass the legislation. There are too many things to consider.

This has been an ongoing concern for many years and it doesn't look like Trump is going to back down without a fight. Congress has to be on the same page all across the board. All we can do is wait to see what President Trumps next move will be.
