“How Much Can the Youth Vote Actually Help the Democrats?”

According to the New York Times, Young Americans between the aged of 18 to 29 have been moving left and leaving the G.O.P. in recent years.  This finding came from Cooperative Congressional Election Study (C.C.E.S.) survey taken in 2010-2014.  This is happening after President Trump won the white house in the election in 2016. The young Republicans less than 29, and not to involve politically make the decision to switch to the Democrats party.
This decisions show that those young turnout was 43 percent in 2016, compared with 60 percent for the entire electorate. And in the recent midterm election, they have voted at rates no higher the 21 percent, which is less than the 36 percent overall average. The Pew Research Center” report found that 84 percent of the Republicans –turned- Democrats (regardless of age) disapproved of President Trump. Also because president Trump it becoming an unpopular figure with young Americans and growing more unpopular over time”. Because youth Americans are more diverse, also A Pew Research Center report in 2014 noted that “some 43 percent of millennial adults are nonwhite, the highest share of any generation,” and that “the racial makeup of today’s young adults is one of the key factors in explaining their political liberalism.”
Therefore for the future elections in 2020 Democrats can be rescue by the youth millennial. That election is supposed to be the first presidential race in we gonna see a debate between the millennials out numbers baby boomers and make the change in out political system in the future.
