PUPUSA

Growing up in New York there are many types of delicacies and restaurants to choose from however this choice wasn't one I chose through choice but through friendship. When my best friend Anthony introduced me to pupusas I was very delighted by the Elsalvadorian dish and every time I visited him I wanted more each time. I always thought it was cheese within the El Salvadoran treat but to my tastes I was incorrect. It was only recently I was told by Anthony that it is actually flour cooked a certain way to make it taste like cheese.

Since I was always wrong I decided to do some research and he was right! Although that they also fill this treat with different types of meats and etc which I did not know as the most famous way of making it is with the flour. According to Wikipedia Pupusas are also a popular dish in Honduras especially in the south bordering El Salvador. (wiki1)  Pupusas are now known in many variety of places around the world including the US and Canada  (multiculturalcookingnetwork1). Both at home and abroad, pupusas are traditionally served with curtido (a pickled cabbage relish, similar to German sauerkrautand Korean kimchi that comes in mild and spicy varieties) and tomato sauce, which are traditionally eaten by hand.-(Wikepedia)
