Journalist Murdered
In New York, hearing about a death in the news is common; almost as common as being informed that the POTUS has sent out another great tweet. Unfortunatley this article isn't about a tweet, but rather about a journalist that was murdered in front of her home in Bangalore. The article published by CNN discusses the murder of Gauri Lankesh, a journalist from India. Lankesh was convicted of defamation; she appealed the verdict and was on bail when she was murdered in front of her home. The reason behind why she was murdered is still under investigation; though some believe she was murdered because of her journalism and due to the fact that she never feared speaking the truth to those in power.
