Medical offices and hospitals are guilty of performing unnecessary tests and procedures on patients because of the fear of malpractice and many other factors. In this article published by The New York Times, it discusses the unnecessary use of medical care. Study's performed by PLOS ONE from a survey they conveyed reveal that " Physicians reported that an interpolated median of 20.6% of overall medical care was unnecessary, including 22.0% of prescription medications, 24.9% of tests, and 11.1% of procedures. In conclusion to fix the problem they should shy away from drugs and recommend other helpful techniques.
